Nutritional Supplement Information

Lets first look at the everyday essential supplements that every bodybuilder should be taking. Many of these are expensive but not quite as expensive as the nutritional supplements used to enhance performance. In addition, they are what the body needs to get proper nutrition, so if they are not taken, fatigue, muscle deterioration or injury, and illness may occur because the body is missing some essential elements.

Of course we are talking about essential multivitamins and minerals in the nutritional supplement context. These should be taken each day in the morning to help the body get the nutrients it needs and to properly digest and use the food consumed during the rest of the day. They also help hormonal levels, bone and tissue repair including muscle growth.

In addition to these, it is recommended that vitamin C be taken three times a day because it seems to lower the body’s cortisol levels. Cortisol is a hormone which causes the body to store fat and destroy muscle, so by influencing it’s amount in the body it can have a positive effect for bodybuilders. Vitamin C is also great for the immune system and fighting off illness. Chromium Picolinate is another supplement that is essential to take at breakfast and also after working out during the day according to bodybuilder information. This helps the body to be able to absorb insulin so that the body’s glucose levels stay constant.

Flax seed oil is another bodybuilding nutritional supplement often mentioned. It should be taken both in the morning and at night so that a total of at least 14 grams is taken for every 100 pounds of body weight.  Essentially, it is a fatty acid that helps gain muscle and aids in fat loss as well as other bodily functions.

Conclusion

So in conclusion, these are the crucial nutritional supplements according to current wisdom and whilst there will always be debate over new fads  these are probably the ones that should not be left out of any serious bodybuilder diet.
